Live roulette online in Ontario: the kinds of tables
Every live roulette table you play online uses a real wheel in a studio, streamed to your screen. At most tables a dealer spins it, but some, such as Evolution's Auto Roulette, use an automated wheel with no dealer. What differs is the wheel, the extra features and the limits.

European, French and American wheels
A European wheel has 36 red and black numbered pockets and a green zero. An American wheel adds a second green pocket, the double zero.
The extra pocket matters. GameSense, the responsible gambling site of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, puts the house advantage on a double-zero wheel at 5.26% for every bet except the five-number bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3, which is 7.89%.
French roulette is like European roulette but has two rules of its own, La Partage and En Prison.
Check which wheel a table uses before you bet. PlayOJO, for example, lists American Roulette by Evolution and Live American Speed Roulette by Playtech.
Multiplier games
Some live roulette games add extra features on top of the usual bets. In Pragmatic Play's PowerUp Roulette, which reached Ontario through bet365 in 2023, landing on one of the announced PowerUp numbers starts an extra round for straight-up bets, and a game can have up to five extra rounds.
Evolution's Lightning Roulette and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette are on several Ontario sites. PlayOJO lists both, FanDuel lists Lightning Roulette, and LeoVegas and Caesars Palace Online Casino list XXXtreme Lightning Roulette. Caesars' Ontario page for XXXtreme Lightning Roulette says lightning strikes hit random numbers with multipliers.
Tables made for one site
- LeoVegas lists Exclusive Live Roulette among its LeoVegas Exclusives.
- FanDuel's Playtech studio runs FanDuel Roulette for its Ontario players.
- bet365's live lobby marks bet365 Roulette as exclusive to bet365.

Limits
Each table sets its own limits. Jackpot City says its live roulette runs from a $1 minimum to bets of up to $5,000, and that VIP tables have higher limits.
Each spin is independent of the last. As GameSense puts it, the odds don't change after a run of losses, however long.
